Our Leadership
Pastor Matt and Mindi Shipley
Our journey together began in 2012 when Mindi and I were married. Through the years the Lord has helped us discover His heart for people to know the true gospel in its entirety and the plans He has had for us to disciple believers. We are graduates of Charis Bible College where God confirmed our calling and led us to Minnesota and Wisconsin for a pastoral internship where the Lord made it very clear we are to pastor in Minnesota.
God gave Mindi and I a vision and a passion to make disciples for Christ, building the Kingdom of God, and being a light to the world. It is our heart to see people know who they are in Christ, discover God’s purpose for their life, to grow and mature in the knowledge of God and actively follow God’s plan and calling in their life. We have been blessed to see the Lord heal the brokenhearted, set the captive free, and how much the full gospel has changed people’s lives as they are set free.
Our Mission
The River Bible Church is a non-denominational, spirit-filled, grace and faith church committed to helping you develop your relationship with God and each other. Through these relationships, we experience the more abundant life Jesus provided, which enables us to take the gospel to all the world, disciple the nations, and see lives transformed. We believe the local church is a force for good and we’re excited about the positive impact The River Bible Church is having on Winona and the surrounding communities.
Luke 4:18 tells us Jesus came to preach the gospel, heal the brokenhearted, open blind eyes and set the captive free. Our mission is to share the love of God, bring truth and freedom through discipleship and share the message of God’s love with Winona, Minnesota/Wisconsin, and all the world.

Gatherings
